The Federal Capital Territory(FCT) Police Command has launched an aggressive manhunt for killers of a female fuel attendant,Miss Grace Godwin, whose lifeless body was found in the Jabi area of the metropolis early this week.

The FCT Command spokesperson,Superintendent of Police(SP),Josephine Adeh who announced this in an interview with Abuja News,however,did not give details in order not to jeopardise police investigations.

Pressed further,she simply said the police would make public its findings once investigations into the murder were concluded.

“We are investigating the matter but I can not divulge further information until investigations are over. We will let the public know the outcome once we conclude, “she said.

Initial reports on the death of the 23-year-old,Agatu, Benue- born,Grace Godwin, a fuel attendant at the Mobile Filling Station in Mabushi,indicated that she may have been a hookup girl who met her untimely death in the hands suspected ritualists.

However, members of her community in Abuja debunked the claim and said she was a victim of a syndicate of the popular ‘One Chance’.

In a statement in Abuja early this week,signed by Mr.Adanu Andrew, President of the Voice of Apa and Agatu Initiative for Development,it said the deceased was a disciplined and cultured young lady who worked hard to support herself and not wayward.

It added that her untimely death was connected with kidnapping for ransom.

Tne late fuel attendant was reportedly a victim of a ‘One Chance’ criminal gang, which abducted her before contacting her parents for an N1m ransom.

It was while efforts were being made to secure her release that the news of her death surfaced on social media, tagging her a hookup lady.

Her body has been deposited in the mortuary at the National Hospital, Abuja, for autopsy.
