The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) is scheduled to conduct a promotion examination for over 8000 civil servants for 2025, beginning Tuesday, November 25, 2025, in Abuja.
The exercise,scheduled for five days, will run from November 25- 29,2025, at the National Open University Study Centre along Kubwa Road.
According to a press statement by the Chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission, Mr.Emeka Ezeh, the candidates are drawn from 165 different cadres.
Ezeh disclosed that the FCT Minister,Mr.Nyesom Wike approved the commission’s request to fast track the conclusion of the 2024 promotion exercise for staff of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA).
He revealed that the examination will be conducted through a computer based test, a method introduced recently to strengthen the digital system for staff assessment.
Eze recalled that Wike’s administration is the first in the country to adopt the computer based format for promotion tests.
Ezeh added that in August 2025, the minister approved the elevation of 49 directors who had passed the CBT conducted by the commission.
