The third edition of the Africa Climate Forum is set to hold this October in Abuja, Nigeria. The Forum which had its maiden edition in 2023 and has since become the major gathering of climate change and green economy bigwigs in Africa is set to engage current issues in the global climate space from an African perspective.
This third edition of the Forum, ACF 2025, which is tagged “Bolder, Greener and Better Steps: Closing Transition Gaps in Africa” will be held on the 14th and 15th of October at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Center, Abuja, Nigeria.
The Forum is expected to feature discussions on issues such as climate policy and finance, sustainability reporting, green tech and climate justice through an African lens. The conversations will also cover key COP 29 decisions on the New Collective Quantified Goal (NCQG) and carbon markets, as well as Africa-focused issues like corporate mainstreaming of climate commitments, climate project development and
management, public-private partnerships, climate transparency, and regional
corporation.
Expected at ACF 2025 are policymakers, innovators, green investors, climate activists, energy experts, and youth leaders from across the continent and beyond. The 2-day event will include panel sessions, policy dialogues, plenaries, the ACF Deal Room to facilitate financing for green projects, and the ACF Marketplace, amongst others. ACF 2025 aims to facilitate inclusive deliberations and reach key decisions in diverse areas of the green transition discourse. It promises to create productive synergies among
green economy stakeholders in Africa towards opetationalising key climate objectives.
