The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has appealed to the public to assist in identifying a young boy who was found unconscious following a suspected hit-and-run incident in Abuja.

According to a statement issued on Friday,December 12,2025,by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, the incident occurred on December 10, 2025.

Adeh said the victim, believed to be between 12 and 15 years old, was discovered around 8:00 p.m. lying unconscious near the transformer at Apo Roundabout.

Police said he was found by two passersby, identified as Mr. Naziru Ibrahim and Mr. Ibrahim Mohammed, who immediately conveyed him to Sahad Hospital in Apo Resettlement, where he is currently receiving medical care.

According to the police spokesperson, the boy remains unconscious, and no form of identification was found on him.

Adeh noted that efforts are ongoing to trace the boy’s family or guardians, and urged residents with any information about the victim to come forward.

“While investigations are ongoing to identify the boy and trace his family or guardians, the FCT Police Command calls on well-meaning members of the public to provide any useful information that may assist in identifying the victim and reuniting him with his family,” the statement read.

The Command advised members of the public with relevant information to contact the FCT Police Command’s Public Relations Officer on 07038979348 or report to the nearest police station.
