A female accountant with the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, identified as Kasham Thomas, was found dead inside her car in the Gwarimpa area of Abuja.
The incident, which happened on Monday,September 8,2025,is coming after a corpse of a suspected labourer was found inside a car at the National Assembly complex,Abuja,the previous day.
The body of the accountant, which had two stab wounds to the chest and stomach, was discovered along 35 Road,Gwarimpa.
A witness said that the police from the Gwarimpa Division were alerted to the incident and, after notifying her family, took her body to the Kubwa General Hospital.
A relative of the deceased said Ms. Thomas had been in the Karshi community earlier that day to pick up her two children ahead of their school’s resumption.
“She left Karshi around 7 pm and went to her home in Lugbe to drop off the children,” the relative said.
According to the relative, “She left the house after that, with a promise to come back soon.”
A knife, believed to be the murder weapon, and an apple watch were found inside the car with her body.
The incident,also, comes a week after a Bolt driver was found dead on the Gwarimpa-Kubwa expressway with a stab wound to his neck.
In that case, the victim’s car was stolen.
A police source at Gwarinpa division confirmed the incident, but the FCT Police Command was yet to issue an official statement on the matter at the time of this report.
