A non-governmental organization committed to empowering young women and fostering self-discovery, the ME Foundation, is set to host an international conference in Abuja on Friday, June 27, 2025.
Founded by Dr. Vivian Victor, an early childhood educator, the ME Foundation is focused on supporting girls and young women aged 15 to 30 in building self-confidence, overcoming limitations, and living purpose-driven lives. Dr. Victor explained that the foundation was born out of a deep commitment to ensuring that every young girl is given the opportunity to thrive without discrimination.
“We believe every girl is the author of her own story, the captain of her own ship—the feminine face of God,” Dr. Victor said in a statement issued in Abuja. “Our mission is to provide a platform that helps young women discover themselves, make informed decisions, and unlock their full potential.”
As part of its initiatives, the ME Foundation runs a variety of programmes aimed at building skills and fostering economic independence. Notable among them is the “Skilled Babe” campaign, which offers training in Hairdressing, Fashion Design, Catering, Baking, Bag and Shoe Making, Beadwork, Event Management, and more.
In addition, the foundation also leads advocacy and welfare projects including “House A Babe”, “Clothe A Babe”, and several awareness campaigns that promote inclusivity and gender equity. These efforts have reached communities across Nasarawa, Kano, Delta, Imo, and Enugu states, where the foundation has engaged secondary school students and undergraduates through outreach and sensitization programs. It has also provided sanitary products and educational support to girls in need.
The upcoming international conference, themed “Rejection: Catalyst for Growth”, will feature a robust lineup of activities including empowerment sessions, panel discussions, training workshops, and skills acquisition programs.
The event is scheduled to take place at House 17, 7th Avenue, Gwarinpa, Abuja, starting at 11:00 AM.
