The Managing Director of Medicom Renal and Dialysis Centre Maitama, Abuja,Dr. Pam Dareng has charged staff of the facility to rededicate themselves to duty and seek God’s face in 2026.
He also urged clients of the centre, especially the patients, to seek God’s knowledge and understand His nature in the new year.
Speaking during the end of year prayer session organised by the centre on Thursday, January 1, 2026, to pray and encourage staff and the patients, the MD who was represented by Dr. Eresimadu Tobenna noted that it was a privilege to be alive to see the new year, despite health and other challenges being faced by many that others could not make.
The doctor maintained that understanding God’s nature was very important as it helps individuals to address the challenges they face.
Tobenna read from Mathew chapter 5: 43-48 and advised that people should love their enemies and pray for those who persecute them as that represents God’s nature.
”The entire purpose of Jesus on earth was to teach people to understand God’s nature.
”In Mathew chapter 5, starting from vs 43, Jesus addressed the law of Moses that gave room for hatred upon enemies and introduced God’s nature that centered on loving your enemies and verse 44 of the chapter advised that you pray for those who persecute you,” he said.
On the ritual of a new year resolution, he said a resolution can not just happen, but there must be a deliberate effort that comes with it to achieve it.
”Feeling motivated after listening to things and trying to change immediately in line with what you listened to may not be possible. It is a good thing to be motivated, and it is good to change positively, but there must be a deliberate effort to achieve these, “he said.
He encouraged people not to give up on themselves despite challenges as God watches over them with a view to heal and liberate the troubled and afflicted.
Speaking on behalf of the staff, Emmanuel Msugh, a nurse, thanked the management for the event.
He commended the doctor for his message and pledged the satff’s determination not to take the wrong steps of 2025 into the new year.
