The Minister of Works, Senator Dave Umahi, has expressed satisfaction with the contractor (JRB) handling the ongoing reconstruction of the Abuja-Keffi Road project.

The minister who made this known while speaking during the project inspection recently described the execution of the project by the contractor as top-notch.

”JRB’s work is top-notch. You will not see any difference between JRB and China Harbour, and their speed is unmatched.

“In fact, the speed of JRB has prompted China Harbour to speed up their own work on the project.

“This is the kind of people that will grow this country. Be assured that Mr. President is aware of what you are doing. And you are going to be paid to the last kobo, “he said.

The minister reiterated the federal government’s commitment to continue to support and empower indigenous companies that have demonstrated exceptional performance and patriotism in their work.

”We want to see more indigenous companies like JRB Construction Company Limited, which have demonstrated exceptional performance and patriotism in their work.

“We will continue to support and empower indigenous companies that have the capacity to deliver high-standard projects and contribute to the growth and development of the country,” he assured.

The minister excitedly said the company’s reputation as one of the top indigenous construction companies in Nigeria has been reinforced, and it is expected to continue to play a critical role in the development of infrastructure in the country.

The Abuja-Keffi Road project was awarded to JRB Construction Company Limited for emergency reconstruction in October 2025.

The dual carriageway project is a critical infrastructure development that aims to improve road connectivity and reduce accident with travel time between the nation’s capital and Nasarawa State where most of the federal civil servants working in Abuja reside.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of March, 2026.
